Unhappy 99 isuzu rodeo fuel pump noise

I have 100k miles on my 99 Rodeo 3.2 V6. The fuel pump has started to make a whinnign noise intermittantly. Has anyone had this problem and did you have to replace it?

Mine whines too. I dont know if it does it all the time or intermittantly, I dont pay that much attention to it. I've only had my rodeo for a few months so I dont know how normal it is. Mine just turned 90k miles.

Some (in-tank) fuel pumps can be noisey on an empty tank w/ out a full tank of fuel to absorb the noise. A sudden change in sound might indicate a fuel pump on it's way out. Throw a some marvel's mystery oil or the likes in the tank to see if the added lubricity helps out.
G/luck
