Radio/electrical problems - Help
My son has a 2001 Tiburon. Even though he takes the face plate off of the radio there is still the sound of music coming through. There is a drain on the battery as it goes dead. Can anyone be of assistance?

Re: Radio/electrical problems - Help
Your constant and switched wires are probably criss crossed. I assume it's an aftermarket radio? Even if you take off the faceplate if your constant wire and switched wires are hooked up wrong there will be a drain on the battery. As for the sound coming out of the radio when the faceplate is disconnected, it's probably a cheap radio. You get what you pay for

Re: Radio/electrical problems - Help
Perhaphs your constant and switched rubbed against eachother or burned up the protection around the wires and maybe now they're touching. once you pull it appart that should give you a better idea of what's going on.
Tibby, on most aftermarket radio's yellow is constant and red is switched. There are some radios that i know have it opposite but most of the time yellow is hot (constant) and red is switched
