coolant light
my coolant light keeps popping on and off as i drive the car
i have a 91 chevy lumina 3.1 v6 anyone know what could be the problem? i changed the radiator cap because i thought it wasnt holding any pressure, i guess it was. |

Level sensor bad if it is filled properly. Did you bleed the system last time you filled it?

light came on and i added coolant.
Let the car run with cap off and hit gas to fluid would flow through radiator and topped off the radiator and put cap back on. anyo other options on doing this? |

You HAVE to bleed the air every time you add coolant through the radiator cap.
If you have an air pocket roving around in there, it can do all kinds of weird things.

You may not be fully filled. Get it good and warmed up, then carefully open the bleeder(s). Open the radiator cap and add coolant until it comes out of the bleeder. Then close it up and fill the resevoir.
