ok i have a 323 GTX 1.6l turbo This is my problem
under full throttle and no throttle the car runs great all the way up to 7k rpm however if i ease off and just give it enough to keep it going it sputters badly, I installed an A/F guage and it goes fully lean (turns off) and it has thrown a o2 sensor light and i have replaced it. i sent it to mazda they couldnt figure it out. so i got a boost guage and the boost does not fluctuate at all with the sputter so the turbo is good. (oh yea the light has not come back on for o2) this is every thing i have done / replaced so far TPS o2 sensor eg regulator fuel injectors intercooler I found bare wire on the o2 sensor wire so i re wired that main fuse distributor (rebuilt) MAFM nothing has fixed it about 4 weeks ago the car finaly stoped running, it now has no spark the distributor is rebuilt, the book says coil or the knock box or the wireing from ignition switch I also found the main 80AMP fuse was charred ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!??? could it have bad grounds could a coil do this/?? |

Re: I need help bad I have tried ALL!
Check fuel pressure and volume. Get your hands on a shop manual and isolate the ckts and loads fed by the burnt out fuse, it may run the fuel pump and O2 heater ckts so the damaged O2 wireing may be the cause of the fuse failure!

well it seems i isolated it the starting problem was the new Distributor parts (most likely from burnt fuse im guessing) i unpluged the TPS sensor and it seemed to fix the stumble although it is brand new and installed by the book, so im guessing the wireing for TPS must be shorting somewhere, got my self an ohm meter and now it begins woo woo |
