Making a Piston fit

How I can make a Piston for the civic ZC fit on a D17A1-A2?

I can shave it or something like that?

Is more easy to found an aftermarket piston for any d16 or d15. I found a set of them, how I can make it to my d17a1 engine, beacause d17a1-a2 has a lower compression height?

That ZC is a 1.6L, you can't put a smaller piston in there.

Re: Making a Piston fit

just look for pistons for your d17 and don't try to cheap out and get the wrong parts.

Re: Making a Piston fit

As for all 01+ civic D17 isn't easy to found parts. I just see only one company that offers pistons for this engine, but those are for turbo. I think install an OEM Honda (OS 0.5mm), but .5mm of "overbore" doesn't make any change.

So found some for the ZC and cut some of the material to make it fit.

The ZC is a D-series, all D-series engine have the same bore (75mm), just change the stroke (D15, D16, D17: 84.5, 90, 94.4).
