Re: starting problems

This could very easily be the problem. I would reset the system. Do this by setting the parking brake and turn off all accessories. Turn the key on and leave it on for 10 minutes. Turn it off for 10 seconds and repeat on the third time start the car. Make sure you use an oem key not a copy and this should reset the security system.

I agree, sounds like a key re-learn is needed. Follow GTP's suggestion, and welcome to the Forums!

hi! thanks for the info but do you think this is the problem even if it happens once in a while not all the time and also i just had my battery and alternator changed and then this started happening.

Re: starting problems

Give it a try as sometimes when the battery is removed it causes the passlock system to turn on and it doesn't want to go off. Reset it and see what happens. If the issue doesn't go away then post again and we will see what else we can do.
