95 Caravan front windshield wipers not working

Hello. I have a 95 dodge caravan and the windshield wipers stopped working yesterday. I am hopeing somebody can help me diagnose the problem.

I checked the fuse and it looks fine. The wiper fluid button still works. When I turn the wiper switch to on I hear a click sound that seems to be coming from near the bottom of the middle storage console, just to the right of the pedals and fuse box. I didn't hear the wiper motor make a noise or hum.

I have heard others talk about a multi functions switch that often goes bad.

Of course, it could be the wiper motor. If so, how easy is it to replace?

Based on the info above, anyone have suggestions or other steps to diagnose the problem?

I've seen the ground go bad on the motor itself. Loosen the bolt with the ground strap on it, and re-tighten. Or, you may have a bad motor.

Easy enough to check the motor. Check for 12 volts on the hot lead to the motor. Put the ground of your meter on a known good ground. If you have 12 volts to the motor, connect a wire directly from the ground of the motor to the neg of the battery and see if it works. If not your motor is no good.

Unfortunately I don't know much about electricity and I don't own a meter. I'm sure they are cheap.

Also, I am not sure where the motor is located. I think I know where it is, but not sure.

I just spent $500 to replace the fuel pump last week and I refuse to take it in to have a pro fix this problem, so I'll have to do it myself.

Does anyone know where some diagrams and directions are?

First of all you can purchase a cheap voltmeter from a radio shack for about 9-12 bucks. It's not going to help you troubleshoot your TV electronics but for vehicle 12 volt dc voltage and your house 110 ac voltage, it's more than enough.
Your wipr motor is under your hood against the firewall just off center. If you can't recognize it, follow your wiper linkage back to it. Read the instructions with your voltmeter. Set to Dc. It doesn't matter whether or not you see +12 volts or -12 volts(that only means you have the leads backwards), the important thing is "12". If you need more help just hollar and you'll get more help.

Well, I pulled the motor out and checked if it was the problem. It is fine. I cleaned up the plugs a little bit.

Now the wipers are working again. Let's hope all will stay well.
