resizing pictures from dig. camera
I am wondering how i can change the resolution on some photos of my truck from 640X480 to 100X100 to create a GIF file for my Avatar.

Re: resizing pictures from dig. camera
if you have photoshop, take the pic and press "alt" "i" "s" (can't remeber the actual menus, i go by the shortcuts)
then make both height an width the same number of pixels. once that's done press "alt" "i" "i" and type 100 in both boxes, that'll make it the 100x100 size. if i've confused you, you can send me the pic an i'll do it for you, no worries.

my computer came with a cheap paint program
it can resize and change pic file format if you have a dell, you probably have this program go to the start button in the low-left corner click on all programs look for a folder labeled accessories pick the paint program to resize with this program click on image click on stretch/skew to change to a different file type click on file click on save as.... at the bottom it will ask you to chose file type hope that helped some |

i found a program called AutoImager. It changed the pixel ratio. I appreciate everyone's help.

I have a variety of graphic programs and most of them will allow you to resize a picture without changing the resolution. And...increasing the resolution will not normally give you a better picture -- just more dots.
To find the "resize" option, either use their help index...or go through the commands under FILE, EDIT, VIEW, IMAGE, etc.. Resize (if it is supported by your program) is sometimes in the drop-down menus under IMAGE/TRANSFORM or EDIT/RESIZE. Post the program that you are using, and perhaps someone also has it so that they can be more specific. |
