My new problems lol its just gets worse and worse
Well i was able to fix some of my old problems but sure enough right when one gets fixed another one happens. last night i was driving my girl friend home. everything was going great i started to drive back home and it started to snow. Sure enough thats when my windshield wipers decieded not to work. well i cautiously drove home. messed around with it a little bit still nothing. By this time it was too late to call a chevy dealership. i just got off the phone with a dealer ship and sure enough there it is 8 open recalls on my truck and she told me they wont be able to fix it til monday. anyone know whats up with my windshield wipers i really need this truck to work by tomorrow night.

Check fuses first. It could be the pulse board (mounted on the wiper motor under the hood), but there's usually an indication that it's going if its the board. Like the wipers work fine then stop in mid stroke. |

the circuit board is defective and the solder joints are bad.
That or the wiper motor has a dead spot in it.

If it failed completely all of a sudden. like Mike said check the fuses first. if the fuses are good, check for power at the connection in the wiper motor, then go on from there. Did the problem regarding the wiper included in the recall list?

I checked the fuse it was still good. i checked under the hood and didnt see anything wrong with it i messed around with some of those wires and they started to kick on but they went up and down about 3 times then stopped again. And yes the recalls cover it but i dont have time to wait til next week to get them fixed.
By the way its a 1995 S-10 Blazer 4WD 4-door |

They cost $25-40.00 depending on where you buy them. It's an easy replacement job. Remove the plastic cover on top of the wiper motor, remove the connector(s), then remove the circuit board (pulse board). re-install the new pulse board, reconnect, add some RTV to the cover and attach it. 30 minutes max. You should double check the recall info. This was a 1 year "special policy" replacement on my '97 that expired in 2004. Most recalls also expire after 7 years/70,000 miles (this was also the case on the special policy for '97s. |
