Big problems with 96 Windstar

RF tie rod needs to be replaced (second time in 2 years)
engine mounts need to be replaced (second time in 4 years)
serpentine belt worn
oil leak - kind of a big one

Just got two new tires and oil change and debating whether or not to fix the van, it's got 150K on it. We're looking at over $1000 of work in the shop. Any suggestions?

How does the van look? What are you going to do if you don't fix it? Do you want car payments? How many car payments will it take to reach your repair bill? Do you like the van? How well is the engine running? Is it burning oil? How well does it idle? How is the trannie? What are you doing to go through motor mounts?

I have a 95 Windstar that has over 185,000 miles on it. It's running strong. I myself put headgaskets in (the main reason why I got it) and rod bearings. I'm always looking for another vehical. I never buy new. I do the majority of the work on our vehicals.

I hope some of this helps.

Regards

Dan
