2000 Sunfire turn signal flashing rapid...

2000 Sunfire SE, 84K, when activating the turn signal for a RIGHT turn it blinks very rapidally. When turning LEFT, it's a normal blink.

Hoping it's just the flasher unit? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...Art

Are you certain that you don't just have a burnt out light bulb. That too will cause rapid flashing of the indicator.
