Well Ive got a friend whos got a D16Z6 and his VTEC doesnt kick in. The ECU isnt reporting any error- could it be some kind of temp sensor which checks the engine temp. If yes where is it located?!

how do you know its not coming on ? Vtec on the zc single cam motors is not something that is neccesarily noticeable, if you listen real hard after 5k rpm you will a high pitched whine,. Nothing that knocks you back in your seat though.
He may want to install a vtec light, its real easy. If the vtec is truely not engaging it could be a multitude of things but you should buy a helms manual and start from there. |

Also remember that the car has to be traveling at 15mph or more for the VTEC to kick in. good luck stefan525
