Dim Dip resistor location
Hi
My '98 laguna has faulty sidelights - the main bulbs don't light up "dim" when on sidelights and ignition on. I think it's the dim-dip resistor pack. Anyone know where that is in the car?? Cheers Grant |

Re: Dim Dip resistor location
I have a 97 Laguna and that doesn't have it, so it maybe your's does not have it either.
Dim / Dip were last seen on the last of the Cavaliers and no manufacturer does this anymore, just a very dim 5w bulb now I'm afraid |

All modern cars have the low beam bulbs running at a lower voltage when the sidelights are on (as well as the 5w sidelights). I guess the fault lies with the switch then? The onboard computer keeps telling me there is a sidelight fault! Cheers Grant |

Re: Dim Dip resistor location
If the computer is telling you there is a fault then I guess there must be a fault somewhere. I was a bit surprised that my Laguna didn't have this feature but apparently it is due to an EU ruling. I know my old Cavalier (87 'E' & 90 'G') had dim-dip as did my Mondeo (95 'N'). My Laguna does not have it nor does my neighbours (98 'R').
I hope the following will help you somewhat: http://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/317839.phtml |

Re: Dim Dip resistor location
My '98 laguna has the faulty sidelights problem aswell, I have found out there is a dim-dip relay(K102) somewhere in the car. Does anyone know where it is located.
