won't go

My 2000 Maxima won't go when i step on the gas, it sounds like the muffer is blocked up??? can anyone help.

Kids do try to fill the pipe...

I assume (?) u have automatic transmission:
1. Start Engine.
2. Prez brake pedal.
3. Gear on.
4. Rrelease h-brake.
5. Off u go.
6. --->Push gas pedal, speed increases...

Q: At what point u experience problems?
