Hi, I have a 2002 Tribute DX with 215/70 R16 OE Tires. Can I change this tires size for 235/70 R16 without any implication? I'm trying to get a new look to my tribute with new wheels and tires (it have not alloy wheels now).
Thanx. Zoom Zoom power!!! |

I did a quick check on tirerack.com and they have 235/60-R17 but I did not find any 235/60-R16. Seems like 215/70-R16 is the one for the R16.

I think, both 215/70-R16 and 235/70_R16 are mazda OEM tires size, but the first is for DX and second for ES, my question is if I increse the tire size on a DX to 235/70_R16 could have any implication on handling?

Re: Tires Changed
you need to compare both outside diameters. if there is any significant difference you will notice your speedo is off. the larger diameter tire will make your speedo read slower than you are actually going. which could mean speeding tickets
