Bug wont run

I have a 74 beetle, and it doesnt wanna start, its been sitting with a new engine for about 6 7 months carb covered etc, resently tried starting DOESNT wanna, its cranks when I use push start but doesnt wanna fire, new sparks and fuilds would ANYONE know why it doesnt wanna run help would be greatly helped...and another thing I put a eltric fuel pump I would like to know where I can bolt it with out getting hurt from the engine and work cause it says it has to be grounded..please help

try starting fliud if that works then the carbs could be clogged up because you let it sit so long.
