dead, only sometimes
Hi folks,
Sometimes I go to start my 92 Lumina and it sounds like it's dead. So I swear, try it again, and there it is, starts fine, lots of cranking power. Usually happens after the car has been running, never first thing in the morning. I had another car that did that sometimes, but this seems to be more often. Thanks in advance. Everybody's been really great in the past. |

Re: dead, only sometimes
Check your battery and starter connections, and if that doesn't improve it, the starter may be on it's way out.
Mine's been doing that since it got colder out, I'll get up to the gas station and then when I try to start it....nothing. I have a hammer in the trunk, give the starter a whack, and it fires right up. Someday will be the last one of those, though. Gotta replace it soon..

Re: Re: dead, only sometimes
Thanks Jeffco. I forgot to say the problem began Thursday when a cold front came in...
