Talking How much is a decent paint job?

I was wondering how much it would cost to get a paint job on on my 89 s10...ino it depends on color and size of the car. I just wanted it black, nothing special but i think they look real nice black, and it needs a little body work. Its got a little dent on the side, not really that big but any dent is an eyesore, so can anyone tell me about how much this is gonna run me?

call around and get estimates. make sure tthe place will be willing to do *some* bodywork. most though, will want to physically see the truck first.

no offence met to mike, but bring it to the shop and let them do a propor check out on it, you discribing something to them my result in a highly innacurate estemate, and by the sounds of it you want a color change, which is going to cost more then a re-paint of current color

why thank you, if you think in major minor terms, major is automotive teck. (master, not just drivability) and minor in automotive non-structual repair

Re: How much is a decent paint job?

Depends on what you got and what needs done.As dmbrisket said,it will cost more for a color change.Thats because the jams will need painted and under the hood also.Make sure you get a basecoat/clearcoat job. This kind of job(depending your area and/or shop will cost anywhere from 1000.00 to 2500.00 roughly).Stay away from the 500.00 jobs.Shops that offer this kind of a job use enamels and skip fixing the dents and rust.
