2000 Grand Am + Computer?

Hello,

I have an odd issue here; and any and all input will be greatly appriciated.

I bought a 2000 Grand Am used from a dealer, and it ran beautifully, until about 6 months ago. Here are my problems:

1) The door locks lock and unlock intermitently while I am driving.
2) The rather new battery died for no valid reason; and had to be replaced - that "theft-locked" my stereo. So, I need to know how to unlock it.
3) The "alarm" dings while I drive, and no warning lights turn on on the panel.
4) The blinkers work and then don't work intermitently.
5) The whole car shuts off while I am driving; and I loose all power to everything...I can not steer or turn on my hazard lights.

I was told to "unplug" the computer brain, and plug it back in, and then see if most of that stopped. Obviously, the stereo won't turn on from that - there I need a code of some sort.

Can I do this myself? If so, how do I do it?

welcome Rhinguld. sounds like you hav some issues that might need the stealershits expertise. That is alot of strange things to happen all at once.

How long ago was it that you bought it? Might try taking it back to the dealer where you bought it, they 'might' help you better since they previously
owned the car. good luck
