I have a 1990 Honda Civic Hatchback and i wanted to know exactly what i need to swap in a 1992 b16a. Any help would be appreciated.
p.s. is the it worth the trouble/money to install Type R internals istons, cams, cam gears...

Re: B16a info needed
Youll need:
B series mounts Shift linkage Axles Tranny Complete Engine ECU And various other parts you should, or will need to replace (timing belt, water pump, cap rotor, broken sensors ect)... Plan for abour $2500 just to be on the safe side... And since this engine is a 92, its probably OBD1, your car is OBD0, so youd need either convert the engine to OBD0 and run the OBD0 ECU (not very hard, I think u just run an OBD0 B16A ECU), or the car to OBD1 (bit more expensive and more efficient since this is how the engine is supposed to be run)... Would def be worth it to swap in Type R cams, dunno about the rest... Oh and if your car is a DX or STD you will also have to wire up MPFI... |
