where are you getting a 3.5 stroker, and no. It will be cheeper to make a kit from scratch than try to adapt a kit made for a completely different car, that wouldnt have the right sized turbo anyways.

Re: turbo ideas

^ I agree with Talskin... don't try and adapt, go from scratch... check e-bay sometimes, you'll run across awesome deals... and uh, a 3.5l stroker kit... where u getting, now that u mentioned it... I think I member seeing a stroker kit somewhere... but to my understanding... it was still in development...

Re: turbo ideas

ok, good thing a/b smaller turbo's ... quicker spooling... bad things: they generate more heat... and don't hold peak boost to redline...

You've really gotta balance your options... I had a buddy that used two sized turbos... the smaller to help spool up the larger...

Re: turbo ideas

ebay... there's a store up there... can't member name, but they sell the stock VR4 Manifolds... b/c I was gonna do the conversion at one time... they run a/b $80 + plus prolly $20 for shipping...

To explain the CC thing... 2972 is approximately 3.0L... and 3310, is approximately 3.3L... no hard feelings here... lol... I didn't know that off the top of my head, but I work for a pressure instrumentation company... and I have a conversion calculator on my desktop, lol...

Re: turbo ideas

this isn't stock, but even better... I'm not sure that you'll be able to use it, unless you go twin turbo... I don't think it'll bolt up to single...

Re: turbo ideas

crazy, I wasnt attacking you so chill out. I was just pointing out that the stroker kit you were looking at would give you 3.3 liters, not 3.5. Ray's stroker kit will give you 3.7 and will have a custom crank, instead of a weakened stock crank. Distplacement isnt worth it if you have to make your engine weaker to get it.

The greddy kit isnt a turbo kit at all, its stock replacement turbos. 13G's to be exact, and they can be had for much cheeper than what greddy sells them for.

Now for a quick leason is the metric system. All you have to do is move the decimal point.

1cc = 1ml
1000cc = 1000ml = 1L

Re: turbo ideas

mike,
That kit is for td04 turbos, and is ment to be used a TT car, you will need a lot of other parts in order to actually make your cars turbo. Also, Ive seen some pretty shitty shuff come from that guy. I wouldnt buy turbo exhaust manifolds from him.
