2001 Monte a/c Htr Fan Inop
This morning I got into my car and found that the A/C-Heater blower Fan does not come on, on any setting. It worked last night. The A/C Heater controls all seem to work, switching between Heat/defrost/A/c etc, but the fan will not come on. I checked the 20a a/c blower fuse, seemed ok, replaced it anyway, still no fan. It seems weird that the fan stopped working altogether on any setting.
Is there any other relays, things I could check before digging further and sart disassembling stuff? Anything electrically that should be checked? Under the hood? Does control of this thing also go through the master computer (meaning should I try battery disconnect cure-all attempt?) Any guidance/suggestions would be appreciated.. Thanks T.V. |

Re: 2001 Monte a/c Htr Fan Inop
If you have a manual HVAC system there is a blower motor resistor that controls the lower fan speeds. For digital climate control systems it's a blower motor control module. For the high speed position there is a blower motor relay which puts voltage directly to the blower motor bypassing the blower motor resistor. But since you are getting none of the speeds I would suspect a blower motor or check to make sure the squirrel gage is not binding.
