Re: 97 side pass. power door froze shut, now not working.

Spray silicone on the rubber seals to prevent it from sticking again.

My guess is that you will need to perform the reinit procedure to have the door relearn where it's stops are at. When the door malfunctions, it goes into a "no operation" state as a safeguard.

what is the reinit procedure again, i tried unplugging the radio fuse with the door open and the power door disable switch on but that didn't seem to work unless i'm doing something wrong....

Re: 97 side pass. power door froze shut, now not working.

Open door
disable door switch
remove fuse
wait 30 seconds
insert fuse
wait 10 seconds
enable switch
open door via one of the 3 switches

If that doesn't work, hold the door open button and toggle on/off the lockout switch 10 times. You'll hear a buzzer, then it will beep several times in two groups seperated by a pause. Report back the number of beeps in each group.

Re: 97 side pass. power door froze shut, now not working.

That's a 22 error code. It means that it has sensed something in the way, stopping the door from opening or closing. I've gotten that several times when the door has become confused. I would try relearning the door again. I've had to do it several times in a row in order for it to take.

thnx for the help, i will try the relearn again a few times......and then i will post back here with any results..... and also what other codes are possible with the sliding door, it seems pretty simple but it must be alot more technical than i thought in order for it to rely on codes in order to be able to fix it.......
