Re: Turbo!

1) Yes it is safe to turbo the RSX, keep in mind that it does cause reliablilty to suffer in most cases.
2) No one knows whats happening with the RSX. Some say it'll be revamped, others say it'll be scrapped. You'll ahve to wait and see.

Re: Turbo!

1. Already answered above
2. IMO, the RSX will probably be discontinued unless they introduce a TypeR in the mix or upgrade it so it doesn't compete with the new Civic Si.

Re: Turbo!

Keep in mind that the base model has lower compression which means more boost can be run with your stock internals (if that's what you want to pull off). That being said- it's still a smart idea to play it safe and beef up your internals. The Type S has high compression, making turbo more risky with your stock internals. If you are intelligent, invest in the right parts and tune correctly, you can boost safely and effectively. If you are a half-assed idiot, you WILL have issues. Like that Canadian boy above mentioned though, you may run into minor problems down the road regardless...

The RSX is a conundrum. It does need an upgrade so it doesn't get killed by the Si. But if you upgrade the motor it will then compete with the S2000. And how much more NA hp can you possibly squeeze out of the F20C? Unless "someone" goes turbo or AWD, something's got to give. The roadster's going to stay RWD...so maybe RSX fans will get lucky. Knowing Honda, probably not...
