A piece of DSM history unknown to most, well, it was for me anyhow when I found it!

Looks like the Talon TSI and Eclipse GSX model names were going to be switched right before they were released as shown from this 1989 issue of MT. Or, the magazine just plain F'd up. Anyway's, just thought I would share. Sharing is caring.

Dude. It pretty clearly says 1989.


Also who would go through the trouble to photochop something like that? Like someone spent his hard time on switching the Tsi and GSX label on a 1989 issue of Motortrend? What the hell would the point me on that?

I would venture it's a printing mistake on the part of the magazine.

It's been known to happen from time to time. But, it is also possible that they switched the names before the cars were actually produced. Nice find either way.

I'd venture typo, but good find.

Eagle already had other cars with the tsi badge, and Mitsu was issuing a gs model, making gsx seem sorta appropriate.

My DSM didn't turn me into an alcoholic, but it helped.
