Buick Regals Hidden Power Steering Unit
I have been trying to find where I can add power steering fluid to my Buick and I cannot find it.
The closest I got was a website that said it was near/under the alternator (which I checked but couldn't see) another site said it was under the manifold. Before I go removing anything I would like some advice since I am a relative novice at all of this. Would it be easier just to get it done at the next oil change? |

Re: Buick Regals Hidden Power Steering Unit
If it's a '97 and up Regal, it is located under the alternator and the even bank of cylinders exhaust manifold. You should be able to see the pulley. To get to the reservoir filler cap it's on the backside of the passenger side of the engine closer to the firewall. You'll need small funnel with hose attachment to add fluid.

Re: Buick Regals Hidden Power Steering Unit
PS fluid is a pain to check or add in this car....it is under the alternater...I had to buy a skinny 14 inch funnel to add fluid...look under the 2 heater hoses that go into the firewall
