FOB Programming 2003

my dad has a 2003 cavalier in which he lost a fob(1626307499 )
i got a replacement and was wondering if i can program it myself or do i have to take it to the dealer??

The keyless = FOB. No idea what it stands for, personally, but I know that much.

There is some goofy procedure for synching the codes, but its far easier to have someone with the right equipment do it for you. Shouldn't be too pricey.

I think the 01+ models are dealer program only.
