Spark Plug / Wireset - 1999 Tahoe 4x4

I recently purchased a '99 Tahoe 4x4 and was wondering if the originally came equipped with single or double platinum sparkplugs?

Also, what brand sparkplug and wireset would some of you recommend?

If I remember, it's regular platinmu, not double.

Speaking from experience, DO NOT BUY BOSCH plugs for this vehicle. (it hates em). Just get AC/Delco plugs. I replaced mine with bosch and it kicked like a mule. Then re-replaced those with oem plugs, and it ran just fine. Same for the wires

Which motor are we talking about?

Mine in my 98 were Double Platinums and I believe I replaced them with the RS232 Single Platinum AC-D's.

I also put a set of Bosch's in at one point and I remember the idle was great for 3k then it was horrible and stumbled a lot.

Thinking about it, I might need to change mine again as i'm approaching 150k. hmmmm

Thanks.

Cool....thanks for the input.

The engine is the 5.7L. I just purchased the Autolite Double Platinums. I was hesitant to go with Bosch's because of bad personal experience as well. I guess those bosch's are for imports. Had them in a Mustang once and had to return them.

I did get a Bosch wireset, but I've been hesitant to put them in the Tahoe. I think I will be going with a different brand now.

Thanks again.
