2002 Dodge Durango Clicks on Acceleration
I'm taking my 2002 Dodge Durango in for repair.
There is a clicking noise coming from the right front portion of the vehicle. It clicks when I begin acceleration and then stops when the vehicle reaches approx. 20 MPH. The clicking noise does not occur again until I restart the engine and the clicking starts all over again. This noise reminds me of a card pinned to the spokes of my bicycle! I have noticed some pulling to the left (alignment problems?), and gear engagement is sluggish. I hope this does not pose a costly repair. |

Re: 2002 Dodge Durango Clicks on Acceleration
There is a little relay mounted to the firewall with a rubber mount. I had that little clicking noise like the one you descibed. I was under warranty so I went to the dealer. The guy told me to open the hood, pulled out the rubber mount from the firewall, secured with a plastic tie instead and the noise was gone. Hope it will work for you
