water in dash area???

I've got a mobile aquarium instead of a mini van. There is obviously a clogged up something in the dash area of my van. Water has collected enough that it sloshes around when I drive. If it gets really full, it drizzles out inside, coming onto the floor mats from under the dash area.

Where is the problem originally here? What do I need to remove & unclog? Any ideas?

Thanks much for any assistance

Re: water in dash area???

look for the drain for the A/C in the firewall, depending on what year vehicle you have it may be in different areas, but it will be a little rubber tube of some sort sticking out of the metal. Use something to push up into the tube and see if you have something blocking it and keeping it from draining.

Second thing could be a leak around the windshield, has it been raining where you are at or do you take your car through one of the high pressure car washes?

Are you sure its water and not antifreeze? Antifreeze would indicate a bad heater core.

There are some places to start, good luck and keep us posted.

I'll check the drain thing..........I can see that

Nope, this was the first thing I checked, had the windshield replaced earlier, so I thought it was the natural answer to my problem. Windshield still tight.

Sure looks like water, has no odor or color, comes from both sides of the dash, onto the feet of the driver & the passenger........that is what made me think it is water coming through the grill affair under the wipers & not draining out of there.

It has been raining here in WA state, and I have had the van parked where it got lots of debris from trees, so there is plenty to clog up anything.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll look for the A/C drain area............

it is probablly a clogged drain. antifreeze has a smell and a color to it (usually green, but could also be blue or yellow). and the whiper filter has a strainer on top to catch debris. the water that gets inside, ends up being drained from the assembly from one of two drain hoses connected under the whiper assembly, the water would never get into the passenger compartment
