EVAP code

my 99 alero just had the SES light come on so i went and had it checked out at auto zone and they said it was the EVAP code so i checked my gas cap and its fine so i been thinking that maybe the vent solenoid is bad....does that sound rite to anyone out there?? has anyone else had this? I havent gotten under there to look for it yet but i might tommorrow. Anyone have ideas of where its at or how to check to see if its bad or not when i do find it?

Post the specific odb-ii DTC erorr code. It could be the evap purge solenoid, charcoal cannister or vaccum lines too in addition to the vent solenoid.
