how strong is gt motor..boosting?

i was wondering how strong the bottom end of the GT motor is and possibly if any one knows the compression.. im thinknig about turboing it.. also is there any market help on piston and rods and anything that is weak in the bottom end?

Also does any one knwo the stock oil pressure for a gt 87' fiero.. also do the oil pressure reg. in the oil pan, do they go bad often. the car has been sitting for 5 years and got it running and oil pressure is pegged to 80

The pegged oil pressure is probably the oil sending unit is shot. Easy fix part # 10045775

The 2.8 is weak. As far as boost goes the general rule of thumb is always between 6-10psi but most start with 8psi. Compression is around 8.9. Go to www.60degreev6.com or www.fiero.nl
