'03 Audi A4 1.8T

Hi... I am thinking of getting an '03 audi a4 1.8T Q 5-sp. I currently have an '01 vw jetta 1.8T...

I understand these cars have the same engine, what are the main differences between the two? Any problems to be aware of with 02/03 a4s?

that is the diffence. sure the same engine different manuf. of engines and whole car

thoroughly check the engine for sludge. these motors are known for sludging up. ask for a service history from the owner. if they change the oil every 10k like the manufacturer describes and dont use synthetic oil then the motor is most likely sludged and will eventually throw a oil pressure light.

the audi is a lot more luxurious than the jetta, it also looks better. there is a 10K price difference, so its def a much different car.
