Alpine settings....

I know this is a very very broad opinion but i want you guys to do your best....

I have Alpine CDA-7894 with time correct and crossovers, bass settings and frequencies and wide and norrow bands of bass..

I listen to all kinds of music and i dont like a ear blistering highs but i like a clear sound. I found with the HP and LP cross overs set it seems to hurt the ears.... so i turned those off and the treble is set flat and the bass is +2 of +7...

Sub W is set to W7 or +15..

anyone with a similar alpine...? what are your settings....?

Here's what i got

Unit: CDA 7893
Front: 3-Way Sony 6.5
Rear: 3-Way Sony 6x9
Sub: 2 Polk Momo 12" pushed by MTX 6500D

My settings:

MX: Off
Bass Focus: Off
Bass: 0 , Bandwith 1, Freq. 80 hz
Trebel: 0, Bandwidth 1, Freq. 12.5k
SubW: +7

I think that's about it... sounds beautiful to me... nice balance of CLEAR highs.. and thumpin (but not overpowering) bass.

Thanks, I wasn't sure on the bass and treble frequencies, i might try messing with those and turning the MX off.... but it seems with MP3s that with the MX off it makes them "muddy" sounding.... but i might try a lower setting. thanks. anyone else wanna share there settings....?

I always think of mp3's lacking a good sound. to me they sound alright, but tinny...

You settings are going to depend on what equipment you have... just a headunit and the rest stock? Other stuff... etc. Hard to say, each car is unique!
