Distributor going bad

I have recently replaced my distributor 2 times in the two weeks. I have no idea way it gone bad, and now I put another distributor so I am hoping it will last longer. Is there anyway that it could be my stereo because it seems to be that the electrical is making it go bad, so if I installed my car speakers and car stereo by myself if it was installed wrong would that cause a electrical issue with the distributor.

Re: Distributor going bad

As far as I know your stereo system is unlikley culprit. The only possiblity I can think of is your system is using so much power that the dizzy has to work harder to function on less than optimal power?

More likely the problem is you're using junkyard or defective reman units. GL
