Hi I recently acquired a 1994 Plymouth Voyager and it didn't come with an owners manual and I want to know if anyone can answer my question about the integrated child seats. Does anyone know the weight and Height requirements like if its 20 lbs to 40 lbs or what if someone can help I would greatly appreciate it before I have to go buy another child seat for my son if I don't have to as he is no longer able to use his infant rear facing seat as he is too long and big and old for it thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Re: 1994 Plymouth Voyager integrated child seats
The Intergrated seats are very uncomfortable and offer no head support. If your son goes to sleep (what kid doesn't) there is nothing to keep his head from hanging to the side or just falling forward. The seats are OK if he is 4 or 5 years and on a short trip, but not for a baby, buy a good quality safe seat, it will be worth it if you are ever in an accident; we travel a lot and have been in two severe ones (not our fault)(still trying so settle on the last onefrom this March, over $35,000 in hospital bills and the person who hit us does not have enough coverage). In Oregon we are required to have kids in a booster or car seat until they are at least 6 yrs or a least 60 lbs. My 12 year old daughter is a model for younger childrens clothes. She hates it that technically, because she only weighs 54 pounds she is required to use the integrated seats or booster. We tease her that she will have to take her Drivers License test with a booster.

Re: Re: 1994 Plymouth Voyager integrated child seats
the seat is slightly reclined and offers head support I had him in it one day while I was waiting for my power to be turned on after the hurricane hit here cause I had AC in my van and nothing in the house and he fell asleep and his head didn't fall to the front and the sides of the seat are deep so they offered head support when his head fell to the side they are also padded. so he seemed relatively comfortable.

There must be some improvements in the design in different years.

Re: Re: Re: 1994 Plymouth Voyager integrated child seats
I also Have another question with the same vehicle ... When I got the Van the radio didn't work it would blast on and you couldn't do anything with it (ie. change volume or station) and it would go back off all on its own. I have had the battery out of it for about 2 weeks cause the van wasn't being used because I need to renew my tag and another vehicle needed a new battery so changed til I could get a new battery and renew my tag, well anyhow I put the battery back in the van today and the radio worked like it should any clue why it didn't work before and it works great now?
