A Couple ?'s to pick brains

I have a 1993 Buick Lesabre Custom w/ 165000 miles...overall the car runs good and is pretty comfortable for so many miles to be on it..i just have a couple of questions about some of the things it has been doing that aren't right..and they are somewhat related

1.) anytime i hit any speedbumps, bumps, potholes, anything in the road, its like my car loses all handling like it jumps in the air or something, i hate it because any bumps i hit (I live in Upstate NY there are TONS of potholes, and this ONE turn on the expressway where theres a speedbump in the middle of the curve, i always think i am going to just hit the bump and fly into the guardrail), the steering wheel moves and the car turns..and it basiccally feels like my car cant grip the road for nothing..im assuming it may be the shocks or something associated to the steering wheel..

2.) my steering wheel has a lot of play in it, like it doesnt turn the car as soon as i turn the wheel, the car turns good when it does turn, but it turns to much, and makes a wobbly ride, the wheel goes left and right easy

3.) I HATE THIS..when i turn the wheel, mostly from idle, or backing up slowly, it creaks LOUD..left/right dont matter, just creaky like an old attic floor

any help will e greatly appreciated.

Re: A Couple ?'s to pick brains

id get this looked at very soon... you may have a loose inner/outer tie rod. or possibly something in the steering rack itself. take it to a shop and get them to look at it to be certain

1. Struts

2. More than likely worn steering components/rack.

3. CV Joints.
