Question about car model.

well, i got my 89 hb about 5 months ago but i havnt been able to figure out wots the engine model, is a 1.5L, if is a Civic HB DX, or just a Civic HB.

Pleas if some one can tell me about what is the real model i have, and the engine model too please. So i can get sum pieces from the net.

look at the engine block right next to where the tranny bolts up. theres a code there. read the WHOLE thing, and bring it back and tell us.

It's probably an STD,if it was any other civic,usally they put the model dx,lx,ex,cx,si...on the back of the car.
but we'll find out soon........

I dunno about hatchs, but the CRX Dx was never officially badged... This may also be the case with the Civic hatchs... I know the sedans got a DX badge... Either way its either the D15B2 (16 valves 92HP) or D15B1 (8 valves 70 HP) both DPFI... And if im not mistaken, the STDs only came in 4 speed auto...

The STD's aren't badged, and they do not have a rear wiper. That is the basic difference. And they are a 4-speed manual, not automatic.

well the engine is 16, so i should have 92hp??? i thoug i had the D15B1 with 70hp, ill look at the engine block for the code u guys say. ill post back, thanks.

my hatch is a dx model and it doesn't have the badge....also I have read that in some cases dx models didn't come with a passenger side mirror mine being one of those cases
