Rear bumper dent 2000 Taurus FFV
I have ~8inch round 5inch deep dent
on the corner of the rear bumper (which seems to be plastic.) I've cleaned up the scratches, removed the other guy's paint etc. Now I am ready to try to "punch out" that dent- Any suggestions/experiences to share? Thanks- |

Ok-apparently no one has an opinion :-) I did a search of the archives and found a suggestion of a toilet plunger to suck the dent back out. My dent is a little too large. I should have dealt with this immediately because temperatures plummeted and this morning I noticed fine little fissures radiating out from the edges of the bent plastic so I know I have to heat up the plastic somehow before I try to pop the dent out.

I've fixed a bumper like that only with a saturn....I took the entire bumper off........ but in the interest of a quick fix.....you might try taking the shield from under the bumper off or loose....and you may be able to reach your dent that way...There are only 5 or 6 screws to remove. Never mind...your problem is the rear....sorry |
