Unhappy ticking noise

Hello, I'm very new to this. This noise just started. When going in drive it makes a ticking noise but the noise seems to go away after I go over 10 miles in hour.
1995 Chevy Blazer LS 4X4
4.3L vortek engine
235,000 miles
Could be more of a clicking noise. Could it be something not going into gear or a cv joint.

How would I go about finding out which one it is? I am in no way a mechaniclly smart person. If I could figure out what it is causing this noise I can see if my father could help me fix it.

Re: ticking noise

as stupid as it sounds try grabbing your key chain the next time that you hear the noise and see if it stops.
