Exclamation 318i dashboard layout

Hi, i have just purchased a 1991 318i, all is fine but i have one small problem, the car is a right hand drive model and there is a switch on the dash board on the right hand side of the steering column that i cannot see what it opperates, the illustration on the switch has worn out. Can anyone shine some light on it. Many thanks in advance.

Right hand drive, cool where are you at?
Ok mine is a left hand drive, there is a dial just to the left of my steering wheel that I can not see, it controls my light brightness.
We had a car once with rear fog lights, it took me a while to figure that one out.
best of luck.

I'm still trying to figure that one out? I have a switch for them but nothing seems to happen when I flick it on. What's the deal?

Re: 318i dashboard layout

Second try here, server problems?

Check your light bulbs, wire, switch.....

Our car that had one was a Volvo. One rear facing light, red lens, not much fog around here and few people even knew what they are.
When on, it looks like one of your brake lights is stuck on. At least on our Volvo we had.

Kind of a neat idea. A bright light beaming backwards to tell people here I am. Do Not get too close.
Best of Luck

Re: 318i dashboard layout

Aaah. I see what you are saying. I was looking for something similar to what is in the front. I'll have to look again to see if there is any difference in my rear lights when switched on.

Thanks for that.
