HELP! I removed the wrong drain plug...

I drained the transmition on my 2002 XLT by mistake. I was not paying attention and removed the drain plug from the automatic transmition. About 2.5 quarts later I relised my mistake . Problem is I cannot find a dipstick. How do I get ATF back into this trans??
Thanks

I don't think there is a dipstick. There is a tool that is needed to add fluid through the drain plug. A good trans shop or the dealer are your options.

2002 is when ford redesigned the explorer, so there are two different types. clearly recognized as the newer body style, and the older one.if you have the older style '02 then there is a dipstick. if you have the newer style the tranmission has no dipstick. there is a fill plug on the side of the tranny, above the drain plug.
