videos to ipod???

Alright i just got my 30gig ipod today and already have all my music on it without problems. Now when i goto put videos/music videos on it NONE of them work. I've tried .mov/mpeg/wmv/mpg none work. Now on the apple website it says it supports H264 but im having trouble finding a converter to convert my videos to this format. Can anyone help or am i just doing something wrong?

Thanks for anyones help.

Re: videos to ipod???

Alright, i can get SOME video files to show up in the ipod but the video doesnt play, only audio. Could it be a resolution problem? IE, res to large for the ipod to handle??

I'm too lazy to look for you, but http://www.ilounge.com/ is an excellent resource. I'm sure they have loads of information on how to convert to that format, or how to get 'unofficial' video formats to play on the iPod.

Re: videos to ipod???

lol, weird i have 3 windows from that site open right now. I have QTpro that you can "export to..." and an option is IPOD format, yet those still wont show video on the ipod. Really doesnt make sense to me.

Re: videos to ipod???

Wow im an official moron. Under video options if you have TV out selected it wont show the video, just the sound. I figured it would play tv out if it was available but i was wrong.
