Coolant leak "hard to find"
I need info
I have an 2000 Yukon Denali, I have coolant leaking from under the moter from what i can see it is dripping on the bell housing from above. this is on the drivers side of the truck and from the back side of the moter (between the firewall and back of moter) I have used a mirror and light to see down there but i just cant get a good look to see what might be leaking. It does not laek when the thermostat is closed so it makes it real hard(HOT) when tring to see when the moter is running. Any one have a clue I can see the the seal from the intake to block and there seems to be no soft plugs back there. any help would be nice before i take it in and spend the big bucks thanks |

If yours has the 5.7 engine it could be the intake gasket. That engine is well known for this problem.

Re: Coolant leak
Yup - intake gasket....it happend on my 98 Tahoe with a 5.7. Luckily it was under warranty....come to think of it, that was the only thing it ever went in for in the 90.000 miles I had it. Great truck that 98 was......
