'93 Metro 5 spd Transmission - fill where?

I have a problem about where to add transmission fluid to a '97
Metro 2 door HB, 3 cyl, 1L 5 spd manual transmission.

I bought the car used and would like to change the tranny fluid just
to be safe. 150,000 miles on it - ever changed? - who knows....

For the life of me, I cannot find the filling plug on my transmission

If you click on either of the following ImageShack links, you will
see my transmission.

There is some sensor goodie at location L-9 on the first image.
Can that be taken off and unscrewed w/o damaging it?

If the fluid cannot safely be filled into there, please indicate where on
the photos the fill plug would be located.

Do I need a different photo angle to show it?

Also - What are the two nut heads with Phillips Head slots in them at
D-E 9 ? They are on the lefthand side of the transmission as you
look into the engine compartment.

The oil everywhere is from a leak at the Distributor....(?)

Can anyone help me on this? I thought the photos would help.

oil fill hole is on side of tranny next to where driver side axle goes in. its a 7/8" bolt

to fix oil leak pull distributor out and replace o-ring on housing. real common problem. the 2 screws hold detent springs and balls. don't remove them. if you can't get oil filler plug out, drain the tranny, pull out speedo gear (1 10mm bolt) fill with recomended amount of fluid and replace speedo gear. when you remove gear do not pull on rubber tube going in to gear. only pull on metal part

Re: '93 Metro 5 spd Transmission - fill where?

if it's a standard(manual) tranny it's supposedly a non servicable, cut theres usually a nut at the bottom back of it to drain and a big 22 mm nut about half way up to fill, but a manual doesn't use tranny fluid it uses like 80w 90 gear oil
good luck, what ever you do, DON'T USE TRANNY FLUID, USE GEAR OIL
