OK.
Stupid question of the day. What is the "performance" switch supposed to do exactly? increase HP? better gas mileage? I dont notice much of a difference if its on or off. I thought maybe the rpms would change but nothing noticable happens. This is a 95 SC2 with 68,000 on it. I didnt get a user manual when I bought it a few weeks ago. |

Re:
well on my 92 sc2 it just lets the rpms go higher before it shifts and when it switches is doesnt let the tranny slip as much. well hope that helps

Re: "Performance" switch
the PERF switch has three main functions:
1. increase main line pressure. 2. extends the shift points. 3. raises the engine red line.

Re: "Performance" switch
no, it is on 91-97s with automatic transmissions. but on later models i beleave the shift algarithem(SP?) is adjusted accordingly so the PERF switch is not needed.
