Where to buy antenna?

I'm looking for a radio antenna for my 1984 2WD pickup...sounds easy, but all I've found so far are universal ones, and they don't seem to fit. When I called parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, Kragen, Pep Boys) no one seems to know anything.

Can someone suggest a source for me, and a part number would be great!

Re: Where to buy antenna?

I like the power antenna I got from Radio Shack. Half the price of Kragen or Autozone. You can always try the dealer.
Why aren't the universal ones fitting?

I'm looking for a non power antenna, and the universal one I tried (from Pep Boys), with a max angle of 30 deg) was for a 1" hole. The hole on my right upper fender is 1" in height but only 3/4" in width. I could only get the antenna to go in from below but I think the hole wasn't large enough, or the angle wrong, for the threaded part to stick out far enough, and I couldn't get the nut to reach the treads so I couldn't tighten it. I think you're supposed to be able to put the antenna in from the top and have room for the pivoting arms to get in position.

I don't want to start drilling and enlarging the hole, especially since I don't have much confidence in the universal antennas. Which is why I'd like to get a model number from someone who has one that fits.
