96 center support bearing

Is it possible to thread a grease fitting in on the bottom of this bearing. The support which holds up the bearing has a hole in that seems to allow for this. Anybody know??

Seems like a great idea, you'd have to tap the hole? And if you install it and grease it, and see grease come around the bearing then you know you were right.
