How to install a moisture trap?
Hi guys!
I finally bought an air compressor, a badger 360 and a moisture trap. Now, I do I install the moisture trap? I have the plastic tube that goes from the compressor to the air hose of the airbrush. The guy that sold me the trap tell me to cut the plastic tube 1 feet from the compressor, put the moisture trap there and put the rest on the other extremity, but how do I fix the plastic tube to the moisture trap? On the little sheet I got with the moisture trap, it says that I need to put the trap 2 feets from the airbrush, so that mean in the air hose I got with my airbrush? Thanks a lot for your help! |

Photos would be useful.
Do you know how many different types of moisture traps there are on the market?

Re: How to install a moisture trap?
The barb on the sections you push into the hose should hold it pretty securely, a couple of zip/cable ties around the outside of the hose for added security should be enough.
I have my moisture trap over 2' from my airbrush, so you shouldn't have a problem putting it in the red coil hose, the real question is whether it will fit. Keeping in mind the inside diameter of the hose needs to be slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the moisture trap ends will also dictate where you can put the trap. Will the size of the red hose allow you to place the trap in it? If so, I would place the trap on the red hose, assuming your airbrush hose attaches to the red hose?

Re: How to install a moisture trap?
Thanks for your help!
I just cut the red hose and it's smaller than the moisture trap, but I think I will be able to fit it inside. About the two things that looks like a "bolt" (not sure if this is the good word), what do I do with them? Are they usefull? Thanks! |

Re: How to install a moisture trap?
The 'two things that look like a bolt' look like they're part of some sort of compression fitting, I honestly don't know what you would do with them, don't the instructions give you any idea?

Re: How to install a moisture trap?
The instructions not really talk about them, it seems like they can fit into something, but I think I will not need them...
Thanks a lot freakray, you really help me out! |
