2001 Kia daytime running lights

I have a 2001 Kia Rio and the dash and the daytime running lights short out. I can turn on the lights and they work fine. I was wondering if anyone had a solution.

Thanks

What country is your vehicle from? In the U.S. this was NOT an option. If you bought this car in the U.S., then someone installed aftermarket daytime running lights or put in a Canadian relay (partial wiring harness.).

I hope this helps.

I am in Canada and was wondering if anyone had an idea how this could have happened and if you have any ideas on resolving the problem. Thanks.
